NEARLY 40 businesses have been named as finalists for Rossendale Business Awards .
An amazing 152 businesses were nominated this year giving judges a very difficult decision to whittle those down to just a handful for each category.
The awards are organised by Valley at Work, which connects local businesses, and chair Rob Carder said: “The feedback from every judge was how difficult it was to decide finalists this year, because the quality of all of the entries was so high.
“The event is in its sixth year and is growing year-on-year. We are looking forward to another superb evening on Wednesday November 11 at The Riverside in Whitworth when the winners will be announced.
“I would like to thank everyone that nominated and all the businesses that completed entry forms.”
As November 11 is also Armistice Day, providing entertainment on the night will be the Singing Group from Veterans In Communities, a finalist in community business of the year.
VIC work with veterans to return, belong and prosper in their communities through a series of projects.
Another finalist in community business of the year is the M3 Project and the charity will be running a fundraising raffle at the awards. M3 works with single homeless young people aged 16 to 25 and runs a teenage family project
Valley at Work members and finalists receive one free ticket to the awards’ night, other tickets are available priced £20 from enquiries @valleyatwork.co.uk
