About

Valley at Work was established in 2007 to help connect businesses within the Rossendale area.

Valley at Work is a business association organised by small businesses for small businesses. Whether you run a business in Rossendale, or trade in Rossendale, or are planning a to start a business in Rossendale you are welcome to join us at our regular meetings.

Here you can find out who is who in Rossendale business, connect to local suppliers and find new contacts, ideas and help, all over a coffee and a biscuit. We have great guest speakers each month who give up their time to offer advice in their own areas of expertise to help the rest of us.

Valley at Work is inclusive (everyone is welcome), friendly and aims to be a point of help and communication with and between local businesses.

Valley at Work Meetings

We meet between 6pm and 8.30pm, at a local venue, usually on the first Wednesday of every month.

With the exception of the Rossendale Business Awards ceremony in December and the AGM in July, all our meetings are free of charge to attend (unless there is food), and everyone is welcome.

Our meetings are deliberately friendly and informal – there’s plenty of time to circulate and get to know everyone. You are not obliged to pitch your business or provide referrals for other attendees.

If you would like to come along to any meeting, or you would like to receive regular email updates, please contact enquiries@valleyatwork.co.uk and let us know.

Next Meeting:  Wednesday June 5th, 6.00pm – 8.30pm.

Location: Winter Solicitors, Winter House, Lee Street, Bacup OL13 0BQ
Speaker: Paul Bridge, U First Therapy
Topic: Modern Mental Health Approaches

Modern counselling and psychotherapy takes a vastly different approach to mental health issues. With the latest therapeutic approaches it’s possible to make rapid and effective progress without spending 12 months to 2 years in the chair. Paul will explain how work related mental health issues can be approached to relieve things like trauma in just a few sessions. As usual, there will be plenty of time to get to know all the attendees in a friendly and convivial environment. Lots of updates too.

We shall also have copies of the new food and drink guide if you haven’t got yours yet. As usual, there will be plenty of time to get to know all the attendees in a friendly and convivial environment. Lots of updates too.

Everyone is welcome at this Valley at Work meeting. Its free to attend, and you can be assured of a friendly welcome!
